✔  Handwoven in the Mut region of southern Turkey, this 1970s kilim features a stepped diamond-medallion layout that has been woven in Central and Southern Anatolia for centuries. Although visually similar to Navajo rugs in its bold geometry, this pattern belongs to an independent and much older Anatolian flatweave tradition, passed down through village looms rather than workshop design.

The field is woven in a muted sage-beige tone and framed by a charcoal brown border, with stacked medallions in brick red, slate gray, soft ivory, and pale peach-rose accents. Made from hand-spun wool on a wool foundation, the weave is tight, smooth, and lightweight — suitable for use on the floor, layered over a larger rug, or mounted as a wall textile.
