Red Lavender Vintage Balkan Pirot Kilim • Handmade Wool Carpet • 3x5 Traditional Flatweave Rug for Entryway, Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen & Study

✔  This Pirot (Sarkoy) kilim from the Balkans is a vibrant example of mid-20th-century Southeastern European craftsmanship. Woven in the 1960s from 100% hand-spun wool naturally dyed with roots and plants, it features the classic bird and tulip motifs — symbols of harmony and joy in Balkan textile tradition. The geometric medallions dance across a warm carmine-red field, framed by lavender-gray borders with stepped motifs in ivory, teal, mustard, and black.

Lightweight yet durable, this flatweave combines artistry with everyday function. Its crisp pattern and radiant colors make it equally at home as a living-room centerpiece, bedroom accent, or even wall-hung textile art. The piece captures the balance of rhythm, symmetry, and folk poetry that define authentic Pirot weaving.
