Inspired by historic Mamluk carpets of the 15th century, this newly handwoven rug features a beautifully structured layout of interlocking medallions and geometric panels arranged in a symmetrical grid. The design reflects the distinctive mathematical elegance of Mamluk weaving while introducing softened tones that give the rug a fresh transitional character suited to contemporary interiors.
The palette feels balanced and quietly sophisticated — a warm ivory field framed by dusty teal borders, with accents of walnut brown, muted terracotta red, golden ochre, and touches of soft coral and sky blue.
