 ✔  This rug brings grounded strength and bold Anatolian character into a space, offering confident geometry and historic presence through its striking medallion field and deep natural tones.

Handwoven in Central Turkey, this vintage Sarkisla kilim reflects the strong village weaving tradition the region is known for — graphic, symbolic, and structurally balanced. The design centers around a column of large polygonal medallions filled with protective motifs and stylized floral emblems, framed by stepped borders and tribal guard bands. The composition feels both architectural and expressive: the bold medallions anchor the room visually, while smaller motifs animate the surface with rhythm and movement.

The palette has matured beautifully with age into a rich Anatolian spectrum — madder red, camel tan, deep brown, charcoal, soft ivory, muted gold, dusty rose, and subtle slate accents. Natural abrash and tonal variation create depth and authenticity that only time and hand-dyeing can produce.

Flatwoven from handspun wool, it has a durable, flexible structure suitable for everyday use. Its 6'3" × 8'8" size works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, studios, offices, or layered interiors where graphic pattern and heritage texture are desired.
