Kazak Vintage Caucasian Rug • Medium size Wool Carpet • Handmade Rug for Living Room, Bedroom, Dining, Kitchen, Study & Office

✔  Traditionally hand knotted Caucasian rug from Kazak region, Azerbaijan. This vintage rug has a very balanced color combo: shades of salmon, pink, blue, purple and green. Three central medallions, a classic Kazak design, are on a very pale purple field. Close to the middle of the rug , there is an area with a nice abrage (subtle change in the color tone).

Size: 4'8" x 7'6"
Low pile: Roughly 0.2"
Circa: 1940's
Origin: Caucasia
Rug Type: Pile Rug
Material: Hand knotted, hand spun wool pile (naturally dyed with roots & plants) on a cotton foundation.

Condition: Excellent condition overall. Lazy lines of the are visible (see the last two pictures) due to having a low pile. (A lazy line is a subtle diagonal break in the wefts in order to allow the weaver to work on one section and then move over to the next. Most handmade rugs of this size and bigger have lazy lines. They are not visible though when the pile is high.) Professionally cleaned and ready to enjoy.
