Berry Red Kazak Vintage Caucasian Kilim Rug • Handmade Flatweave Wool Carpet • 6x11 Geometric Tribal Area Rug for Living Room, Bedroom, Dining & Collected Interiors

✔  This vintage Kazak Caucasian kilim has a bold, rhythmic composition built around a vertical chain of large diamond medallions. The design is strong and graphic, with a deep berry-red field, dark charcoal borders, and crisp geometric motifs that give the rug a powerful tribal presence.

The palette is rich and expressive — berry red, deep charcoal, burnt orange, olive green, ivory, brick red, midnight blue, soft pink, and touches of muted blue-gray. The colors feel dramatic but beautifully balanced, creating warmth, contrast, and visual depth across the flatwoven surface.

Handwoven in Azerbaijan during the 1940s, this kilim reflects the strong geometric language associated with Kazak and Caucasian weaving traditions. The repeated medallions, angular borders, hooked forms, and small protective motifs give the rug a sense of movement and structure while preserving the individuality of village handweaving.

The long format makes the composition especially striking. Four large diamond medallions run down the center of the rug, framed by smaller geometric elements and bold side borders. The result is a rug that feels collected, decorative, and full of character without losing its clean architectural rhythm.

Woven from hand-spun wool in a flatweave construction, the rug has a practical low profile and a beautifully authentic vintage feel. Its saturated colors and strong geometry make it especially effective as a statement piece in both traditional and more eclectic interiors.

At 6'2" × 11'3", this is a generous long-format kilim for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, wide hallways, gallery-like spaces, or collected interiors where bold color and traditional craftsmanship can anchor the room.
